Bridge / Crown

Crown

Teeth requiring more support than offered by a traditional filling may require a dental crown.

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over a tooth to restore its shape, size, and improve its appearance.

The crowns, when cemented into place, fully encase the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line. Its color, shape and position can be designed to enhance the appearance of the original tooth. Our crowns are made in a dental laboratory and are made of ceramic materials.

Bridge

Irreparable tooth damage requiring tooth extraction may require a bridge. This structure, bridges the gap between teeth resulting from a missing tooth. The restoration therefore must be anchored to one or more adjacent teeth, which must first be filed down in order to function as a support. It’s important that the adjacent teeth are strong and healthy. Our bridges are made in a dental laboratory and are made of a ceramic material.

Post

After root canal therapy, when there is not enough tooth structure to attach a crown, a post is inserted into the root of a tooth; this then provides retention for a crown.

Onlays

An Onlay is  the preferred treatment choice when  the tooth fracture is that severe that  a cusp needs to be restored. It is a less invasive treatment compared to a crown. Our onlays are made in our dental Laboratory and are either made in ceramic or resin.
