Dentures
A denture is a custom-made, removable dental appliance designed to replace missing teeth and restore function, aesthetics, and oral health. It fits over the gums and mimics natural teeth to support chewing, speaking, and facial structure.

Dentures
When are dentures recommended?
You have lost most or all of your natural teeth due to decay, gum disease, or trauma.
You experience difficulty chewing or speaking due to missing teeth.
Dentures are an option when:
• Dental implants or bridges are not possible due to bone loss or financial reasons.
• The patient prefers a removable and more cost-effective solution.
• They are part of a staged plan before transitioning to permanent restorations.
Full (Complete) Dentures
These replace all the teeth in the upper, lower, or both arches of the mouth.
Conventional Full Dentures: Made after the gums have healed (usually 6–12 weeks after tooth extraction).
Immediate Full Dentures: Placed right after teeth are extracted; they require adjustments as gums heal.
Advantages:
✔️ Affordable compared to implants.
✔️ Restore full oral function.
✔️ Support facial muscles, preventing a “sunken” appearance.
Partial Dentures
Designed to replace one or several missing teeth while preserving natural teeth.
Acrylic Partial Dentures: Cost-effective but less durable, with a pink acrylic base and sometimes metal clasps.
Cast Metal Partial Dentures ( Cobolt Chrom denture): Strong, comfortable, and durable, with a metal framework and minimal bulk.
Precision Attachments (No Clasp) Partial Dentures: Aesthetic option that attaches discreetly to adjacent teeth.
